Best way to experience Prague Of all the things we did in Prague, this photo tour continues to be the thing I most highly recommend to anyone visiting. Jan is a phenomenal guide and photographer, and was patient with us even as very amateur photographers. We got to see so many great spots in Prague we would have never known to visit otherwise, and to have some guidance on how to best capture the views we were seeing was super helpful. I think there is more to be gained from this tour if you have a camera (which my wife did), but even with just an iPhone, I got some really great shots and had a lot of fun. Our afternoon with Jan was the highlight of our trip, and this was worth every penny!

Looking for photography guide in Prague, Jan is the one. If you are in Prague and like photography this is the guide for you. As his bio states Jan is both guide and educator. Even someone who is an experienced photographer can learn new things. Jan knows how cameras work and his tour is not just traditional cityscape sites. Because of the variety of places visited, most people on Jan's tour will experience different types of photography all in one tour. During my tour Jan took me to the interior of a building to photograph a spiral staircase as you can see from the attached photo. We then went to a park to do some abstract photography of metal memorials located there. Near the end we concluded with classic photos of Charles bridge and Prague castle at blue hour/night. The three hour tour went by quickly as it was always interesting and new. During the tour I mentioned that I was looking to buy a new tripod, Jan said he would follow-up and provide a link to what he uses. The next day I got an email with some recommendations. Jan went above and beyond to help out his client which was very much appreciated. From Jan's guiding I have a new portfolio of outstanding photographs.

An Evening Photo Shoot of Prague Through the Eyes of a Local! My friend and I booked a 3 hour evening tour with Jan. It was awesome to have just the two of us. We wanted to meet a local and see Prague through his eyes. Jan was super nice and our meet up went smoothly. The tour was a lot of fun, having a nice variety to it. We shot indoors, from beautiful outdoor vista points, and even had a fun “Abstract” activity near the river. Fantastic experience If you have an interest in improving your photography, then doing a tour with Jan is a must! I had walked past a few of the spots we shot from, but local knowledge was key in knowing when to visit and what angle to take. Highly recommended. Professional workshop leader and educator. I was traveling into Prague on a bus tour with 39 other people, and had no control over the arrival time. We were scheduled to meet at 4:15 pm. I notified Jan that I was going to be late, so instead of meeting at our agreed upon location, he met me at the lobby of the hotel at 5:30. We took a cab to our first location and ran into traffic, and what should have been a 10 minute ride, took about 30 minutes. During our time in the cab, Jan recommended improvements to my approach on making money with my photography. Once on location, Jan was a professional throughout, guiding us through crowds like a man on a mission. We got to see 3 or 4 different locations in the time we had, and he offered up alternate locations that I could visit on my own time, and sent me his guide to Prague. He was a wonderful person, flexible with his time and knowledge, and went above and beyond trying to make our time meaningful, and educational. I would highly recommend Jan's services to anyone looking to get some good photos of Prague, in a short amount of time. Stunning tour Review of the Photo Tour scenic towns in Bohemia with JanI knew Jan from a photo tour in Prague. So coming back to Prague I decided this time to explore some other stunning towns in Bohemia. The photo tour took us through Karlovy Vary, Loket, Telč, and Český Krumlov and it was a fantastic experience! Everything was very well organized and thoughtfully prepared.Jan is not only a skilled photographer and teacher but also a truly pleasant and friendly person to spend time with. Since it was just the two of us, the atmosphere was relaxed and personal. Great photo tour in Prague I had a great experience on this photo tour of Prague. Jan was knowledgeable, had a great teaching style, and helped me get some beautiful images. I really appreciated him getting me to check that my images were sharp before we moved on (a step I tend to forget to do). I had booked a group tour instead of a private one, and when no one else booked, he neither canceled (which has happened elsewhere) or charged extra for taking me out. This was a great experience and I am very glad that I toured with Jan.

A must-do if you are a photography enthusiast. Great experience! For the people that want to read a quick feedback: the tour is great, Jan is an amazing companion and teacher and there are things to learn even if you have already dug into photography. Highly recommended.Longer version is, I wanted to be better prepared for the tour, before meeting with Jan and, as he well read on me, I gave it a lot of thought before writing to him. I started getting serious about photography and I have done a lot of work beforehand - read books, practiced and prepared some material beforehand. Even so, after about 9 months of practice, I had my head riddled with questions and I said to myself "OK, I have to meet with the guy!" :))Jan is a great teacher, engaging and curious about your pain points. While he saw I already knew some things and grasped some concepts well, he focused very much on what I was doing wrong and was not helping me. Best private photography tour in Prague and Český Krumlov with a professional photographer. My son and I have enjoyed two private photography tours with Jan. One around Prague at night and one out of the city to Český Krumlov. We've captured some amazing images from the best locations in each place. An outstanding photo experience We took two photo trips with Jan and were incredibly impressed by the experience. Our first tour covered Hluboká, Český Krumlov, České Budějovice, and Písek; on the second, we explored Karlovy Vary and Loket. My husband and I and our friends are photographers so we were looking for an experienced local photographer to not only give us photo tours in Prague but also some of the outlying areas as well. We certainly "hit the jackpot" with Jan. From the first correspondence he was very professional, prompt with replies and friendly. He was very flexible and adapted our tours as requested. He made sure we were comfortable throughout the tours. He knew all the right places and the times to be there. He was very patient and helpful with his experience and tips. He made sure that we captured the images that we had set out to get. He was also a wealth of information about the Czech Republic and its history. As I had been before he crafted a different evening tour in Prague for me and then a trip to Telč. Wonderful photography experience with Jan My photography afternoon spent with Jan was fabulous and just what I needed after a sudden death in the family. Jan was incredibly knowledgeable, enthusiastic and flexible on timing. I booked, cancelled and then rebooked with no problem as plans changed rapidly. Jan brought a tripod which really helped. His knowledge of the city and great places to shoot was terrific. Although I am a pretty experienced photographer, he still taught me many things about my camera that i did not know. Best phototour I've done From the first email contact until weeks after the tour Jan has been a very kind, helping and understanding photographer. Not only does he know his home town well of which he makes very nice pictures! What triggered me to book his tour is that I like his style of photography as he shows on his website ivery much and is close to how I like to photograph myself.On the phototour he actively helped me to replicate the photos he made. That my camera is of a different make than his own makes no difference to him. As the saying goes: it's not the camera that makes the picture but the man (or woman, of course). I was lucky enough to do the tour with Jan only hours after arriving in Prague so the following days I could put his lessons into practice on the many other sites he pointed out. It was my second time in Prague but I didn't succed in aing nice photos the first time. So and I'm very happy with the hours with him. It's easy to onderstand the awards he has won including for the quality of his tours. Jan also does longer photo trips and I'm looking forward to book one of those.

"Johnny's Prague Photography Tour" was just fantastic "Johnny's Prague Photography Tour" with Jan Miřacký was just fantastic. Jan Miřacký provided lots of guidance and tips during the tour in lens selection and settings that I will take forward in my photography journey. He also provided challenges to my photographic skills in asking me to do things out of my comfort zone which I will use going forward. Jan is just brilliant in finding the best locations to be able capture Prague in a way that would not have been possible by myself. His recommendation of start time was perfect for the tour to be able to capture the blue hour and the light at each location was terrific. Jan’s knowledge of photography and of his hometown is a perfect combination for visiting tourist that want to do a photography tour in this breath-taking city. Great photo tour in Prague I had a great experience on this photo tour of Prague. Jan was knowledgeable, had a great teaching style, and helped me get some beautiful images. I really appreciated him getting me to check that my images were sharp before we moved on (a step I tend to forget to do). I had booked a group tour instead of a private one, and when no one else booked, he neither canceled (which has happened elsewhere) or charged extra for taking me out. This was a great experience and I am very glad that I toured with Jan.
