Great overall experience in a beautiful city I took this tour with my daughter as a way of improving our photography skills and getting the best vantage points in Prague. Jan is knowledgeable, patient, engaging and fun. The locations were pre-scouted so no time is wasted. He provided good instruction on composition and allowed sufficient time to experiment. He provided helpful feedback on our shots and the time needed to re-take photos for the best results. The difference in our pictures before and after the tour says it all. Our only disappointment is not allowing the time in our schedule to travel with Jan to Cesky Krumlov. Another day of working with him would have been ideal.

Wonderful photography experience with Jan My photography afternoon spent with Jan was fabulous and just what I needed after a sudden death in the family. Jan was incredibly knowledgeable, enthusiastic and flexible on timing. I booked, cancelled and then rebooked with no problem as plans changed rapidly. Jan brought a tripod which really helped. Best phototour I've done From the first email contact until weeks after the tour Jan has been a very kind, helping and understanding photographer. Not only does he know his home town well of which he makes very nice pictures! What triggered me to book his tour is that I like his style of photography as he shows on his website ivery much and is close to how I like to photograph myself.On the phototour he actively helped me to replicate the photos he made. That my camera is of a different make than his own makes no difference to him. As the saying goes: it's not the camera that makes the picture but the man (or woman, of course). I was lucky enough to do the tour with Jan only hours after arriving in Prague so the following days I could put his lessons into practice on the many other sites he pointed out. It was my second time in Prague but I didn't succed in aing nice photos the first time. So and I'm very happy with the hours with him. Do this tour. You will not regret it. Typically, when I travel to a new city, my first adventure is a food tour. I get to know the area, see areas I wouldn't necessarily see, and try the specialties. I did something different this time, and it was the best decision, as it's the one tour I would do over and over. It was one of a kind and superior to anything I've done in the past. First, Jonny is a talented travel photographer—just look at his website. He's also a friendly host born and raised in Prague and so much fun to spend the day with. We went to five or six locations, and he taught us how to shoot with our iPhone cameras in a way I'd never imagined. His tips and tricks produced the best shots—the kind of images I see but could never figure out how to do on my own. He showed us the key sites in magical Prague but also took us off the beaten path to see Prague in its best light. Prague is the most beautiful city, and Jonny is the best person to see it with.

It was a pleasure taking photos at epic locations, talking travel destinations (he leads travel photo tours in other countries as well), and sharing lots of tips—camera AND composition. Amazing Photographic Experience I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. Jan is an excellent guide and tutor wo took me on a wonderful tour of Prague to obtain the best scenes that I would never have found on my own. Jan's easy friendly manner was such that I felt I was able to ask questions and receive answers that I could understand to improve my photography overall. We discussed shutter speeds, apertures etc to get the best images according to location/light etc and also to get a better understanding of my relatively new camera and what I could expect with it. I think whether you are experienced photographer, hobby photographer (which I am) or a complete novice you would still finish this tour with amazing photos. My only complaint was that I would have loved a few clouds in the sky for the long exposures but I'm afraid even Jan couldn't control that! Fantastic trip.

The tour hits key landmarks - Old Town main square, Charles Bridge, the Castle complex, etc Johnny created a very enjoyable experience mixing iconic cityscape spots with bits of indoor and even abstract photography. Do this tour. You will not regret it. Typically, when I travel to a new city, my first adventure is a food tour. I get to know the area, see areas I wouldn't necessarily see, and try the specialties. I did something different this time, and it was the best decision, as it's the one tour I would do over and over. It was one of a kind and superior to anything I've done in the past. First, Jonny is a talented travel photographer—just look at his website. He's also a friendly host born and raised in Prague and so much fun to spend the day with. We went to five or six locations, and he taught us how to shoot with our iPhone cameras in a way I'd never imagined. His tips and tricks produced the best shots—the kind of images I see but could never figure out how to do on my own. He showed us the key sites in magical Prague but also took us off the beaten path to see Prague in its best light. Prague is the most beautiful city, and Jonny is the best person to see it with.

It was a pleasure taking photos at epic locations, talking travel destinations (he leads travel photo tours in other countries as well), and sharing lots of tips—camera AND composition. Such a Great Experience! As an extra treat on my OAT tour, Jewels of Bohemia, I decided to take a private evening photography tour in Prague with Jan Miracky. Great decision! Private Photography Walk Through Prague Although very much an amateur with my iphone and Sony, I love taking photos. If I end up with 1 or 2 unexpected shots, I am thrilled. Jan was so helpful with both of the camera’s technology and more importantly, with composition. Amazing Photographic Experience I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. Jan is an excellent guide and tutor wo took me on a wonderful tour of Prague to obtain the best scenes that I would never have found on my own. Jan's easy friendly manner was such that I felt I was able to ask questions and receive answers that I could understand to improve my photography overall. We discussed shutter speeds, apertures etc to get the best images according to location/light etc and also to get a better understanding of my relatively new camera and what I could expect with it. I think whether you are experienced photographer, hobby photographer (which I am) or a complete novice you would still finish this tour with amazing photos. My only complaint was that I would have loved a few clouds in the sky for the long exposures but I'm afraid even Jan couldn't control that! Fantastic trip.

Excellent Photo Tour! I booked this photo tour for my first night in Prague. Although I hadn’t slept in 24 hours, I enjoyed our time together so much I forgot about my exhaustion! We went to some interesting spots I never would have found on my own. Even though I only have a point and shoot camera, Jan gave me great advice on how to take better pictures and capture the best of Prague! I was fortunate to have a private tour. Great Photo Tour My tour with Jan was one of the highlights of my trip to Prague. He was extremely pleasant and I enjoyed spending a few hours with him. I have taken photo tours in other cities and felt that this tour was well-planned and organized. At each location, he would show me photos on his phone that he had taken. This made it easy to understand the shot. He would offer feedback and make sure that I had gotten a good shot. Very Good Photo Tour of Prague Jan’s photo tour was just what I was looking for, and he is an interesting and very personable guide. I was in Prague for 3 days with my wife and another couple. As an avid amateur travel and landscape photographer I wanted to have a few hours to myself at sunrise to photograph the beauty of Prague. I found Jan on the internet and booked him. It was great. He showed me several locations, gave me ideas and led the charge. I was able to get several shots I was very happy with, and found locations I went back to. I find using a very good local photographer helps me focus a few hours that would otherwise slip away during a vacation with friends and family. Prague sunset walking tour. Had a very good experience on a three hour early evening photo walking tour of Prague with Jan in early July. Since I had limited time in the city to get some landscape photos, we immediately went to some of Jan's favorite spots to shoot the skyline. The tour hits key landmarks - Old Town main square, Charles Bridge, the Castle complex, etc Johnny created a very enjoyable experience mixing iconic cityscape spots with bits of indoor and even abstract photography.
